Job description

  • Skillfully and efficiently achieve maximum penetration of relevant iSentia products and services through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring clients’ needs are well understood.
  • Retain and develop a portfolio of key clients; delivering insight and advice and industry intelligence, to help them achieve their communications objectives.
  • Effectively mobilizes the team to best react to client issues/feedback and approaches from competitors.  Ensures quick response to any revenue opportunities.
  • Provide team training on products, services and sales ideas.
  • Provide client feedback and communicates ideas for new product ideas or enhancements and regularly conducts client performance reviews.
  • Ensure services are delivered to clients’ expectations through the development and implementation client retention strategies and the continuous improvement of client satisfaction scores.  Is pro-active in recommending solutions to issues and setting performance standards.
  • Manages the implementation of specific initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of the existing Sales and Client Service operations.
  • Ensures there is an accurate transfer of information from the client to the account management team, especially when clients are being handed over between teams.
  • Where necessary, provides training for clients on iSentia products.
  • Ensures there is an effective conduit between functional teams to ensure the client experience is not compromised.
  • Develops strong and effective working relationships with the business development team to support business growth. 
  • Acts as an advocate for iSentia in the local market, and undertakes to activity to promote iSentia capabilities.
  • Effectively communicates client information and insights to client management team through regular forums and briefings.
  • Sets priorities and holds team members accountable with clear objectives, KPI’s, policies and procedures.
  • Drives high performance in the team through managing and coaching the team and providing quality feedback.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss issues, share knowledge, share achievements, and provide training and direction.
  • Coordinate orientation and training for all new employees.
  • Recruit and select high performers, develops talent and then recognizes and rewards performance.
  • Identifies training and development needs and provides the resources needed to develop team members.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related business disciple or 4+ years in a similar role.
  • An analytical thinker who is comfortable with numbers. Proven capability in solution selling to marketing.
  • Proven capability in hands-on problem-solving, ability to generate ideas, identify the root cause of problems and generate good solutions.
  • Confident negotiator and proven ability to ‘close the deal’.  A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities with the ability to upsell & cross sell.
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge and understanding of PR, social, media, insights industries, current media issues, competitor behavior & strategy. 
  • Has been responsible for the management of multiple functions and the previous experience of developing high performing teams, a credible leader.  Extensive client management experience at a senior level.  Proven experience in coordinating activities and contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, positive and energetic approach, results driven, composed, and tenacious and has a sense of humor. Aware of and sensitive to cultural differences across South East Asian.  Respectful of different cultural traditions and norms. Genuine interest in client service and client management.
  • Good office technology skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Able to adapt quickly to new technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal English. Ability to speak in local language and other dialects will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to manage remotely and take other environments and cultures into account when communicating, can articulate complex ideas simply, direct and respectful, a good brand ambassador.
