Daily Briefings Team Leader

Job description

Daily Briefings are a customised media report containing key print, broadcast and online media coverage of specific interest to our clients business.  Our specialist team of editors identify and summarise the main news items from client’s media intelligence briefs into one, easy to digest update.  It provides a high-level snapshot of the day’s coverage and can highlight key issues for our clients enabling them to stay on top of the media and key influencers on a daily basis.


We are looking for an exceptional Team Leader to be responsible for their team of editors, ensuring the team produces high quality briefings to deadline.  This role is responsible for weekend shifts and there is the requirement to work Wednesday to Monday.

If you worked as a Daily Briefings Team Leader what would you have done last week?

  • Worked closely with Daily Briefings Team Leaders and Daily Briefings Management on ongoing team training, rostering, and development and delivery of executive level services
  • Ensured all client expectations are met by supporting your team of Editors in adapting to changing work load,  hitting deadlines and meeting quality guidelines
  • Assisted in responding to and actioning relevant comms to both Editors and Internal Account Management Teams
  • Assisted with rostering.
  • Lead by example and Delivered high quality and timely Daily Briefings
  • Attended the ANZ Daily Briefings Leadership meeting
  • Driven high performance in your team by managing, coaching and providing quality and timely feedback.
  • Jumped out of bed ready to be here by 5am


Who are you?

  • You have experience in leading a high performing team
  • You are an excellent communicator.  Prior experience in written reports is of importance.
  • You have a passion for media and current affairs – industry experience would be of benefit.
  • You're positive, keen to learn and want to be part of a great team working on an exciting and growing product
  • You use your initiative to operate in a proactive manner, and are adaptable to constantly changing priorities
  • You have previous experience delivering to strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • You have a focus on delivering client outcomes.
