We’re growing in Australia, New Zealand and across Asia, we are seeking the right person to be our Head of Data and Content.  Working closely with our transforming Operations function, in this role you will be responsible for initiating, developing and maintaining content rights and supply agreements.

 

We are looking for an experienced Head of Content and Data who will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer, based in either our Sydney or Melbourne Office. You will be managing the relationships with our suppliers on behalf of Isentia and our clients' benefit.

 

We need you to:

  • To have a broad knowledge and understanding of media and social media content, operations, and the business and regulatory environments of Australasian media
  • Have a genuine interest in media and news
  • Establish and maintain data strategies and governance processes to support Isentia’s strategy
  • Continuously identify new data and content sources that meet product and market needs
  • To have a relevant tertiary qualification and in the same or a similar role, with a track record of collaborating with senior leaders either within a medium-large media related organisation
  • Be a great stakeholder manager - resilient, tenacious and with the style / flexibility to work across APAC
  • Have a personal bias towards collaboration, action, one team and accountability
  • Have superb communication and presentation skills, speaking a second language from Asia would be advantageous
  • Be a hands on problem-solver, able to generate ideas and solutions and also manage large projects / programs where appropriate

 

What you will be doing:

  • Initiating, developing and maintaining content rights and supply agreements with publishers, broadcasters, social media platforms, data suppliers and other rights holders or content suppliers
  • Advise Isentia on copyright management, data sources, 3rd party data collection and related matters
  • Monitor and manage the use of data and content within Isentia to ensure it is used efficiently and effectively
  • Travel across ANZ and Asia to monitor progress, coach leaders and ensure benefits are realised through managing relationships with suppliers
