The Role

This is a brand new and exciting role for King Content, the Content Marketing divison of Isentia.

As our new Research Manager, you will be responsible for the qualitative and quantitative research that informs and shapes our strategies globally. With an in-depth knowledge of best practice of all key research tools and resources, you will provide support to the global strategy team with audits, social listening, keyword research, audience research, third party research and focus groups.

You will also be responsible for the ongoing updating, training and informing of the global strategy and engagement team on platforms, tools and partners available for research and insights development, including social listening tools, social research methodologies and digital landscaping.

Sitting with our strategy team and working closely with our Global Strategy Director, our team of strategists supports King Content’s clients with all content and engagement activity across the globe from strategy through to execution, liaising closely with our internal editorial, commercial and creative teams.

About you

You might be a planner or strategist in a media or digital agency, used to working both independently and as part of a wider team. You’re a problem solver and understand how marketing and communication can help achieve larger business objectives.

You will know how to develop and implement frameworks and template to help conduct the right research, using the right resources and how to extract the right insights to inform strategies.

You have proven experience with research and analysis tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, Radian 6), and knowledge of how to brief in research objectives to other teams.

Ideally you will have experience from a similar role in an agency.

Your accountabilities

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Lead the research for large global strategies and work with the lead strategists to develop the insights narrative that provides the framework for the strategy.
  • Effectively set-up, conduct and report on qualitative research, including focus groups, interviews and third party research
  • Support in driving the growth of new business, through active engagement in
    the pre-sales process where required.
  • Engage directly in major strategy delivery across the business, supporting key resources and taking direct ownership of the research and insights development.
  • Contribute to our agency culture by being a fun-to-have-around, positive team player – not taking life too seriously. We like to enjoy life as much as we love to work hard.

Requirements

Your must-haves

The essentials:

  • 5 + years’ experience working in a similar role for either a digital agency or in a similar agency environment.
  • Well versed in research and listening tools such as Radian6, RivalIQ, Screaming Frog, Moz, Buzzsumo, WARC, Nielsen.
  • B2B and B2C strategy or planning experience
  • Experience in conducting qualitative research, i.e. focus groups, is a big plus.
