We’re a media monitoring, analysis and content marketing company with a strong footprint across 18 offices in the Asia Pacific region. We do interesting work with government, corporate, public relations and not-for-profit organisations in New Zealand; making sure they know what is being said, what it means and how they can influence and engage with their audiences more effectively and successfully.

We’ve got an opportunity in our account management team for a sales consultant. We want a friendly, fearless, phone-loving person who loves nothing more than making a sale. We’re big on collaboration, creating a professional environment to do business, delivering what we promise and holding each other accountable. And mostly, we’re about having fun and kicking goals.

 

Who are you?

  • You are a naturally inquisitive person who is genuinely interested in discovering and sharing new insights about your clients
  • You’ve got a great phone manner and an ability to easily build rapport with people. Most importantly, you’re an awesome listener.
  • You remember things that matter, you reflect on insights you’ve learned
  • You’re a natural born hunter, you love the zing of a sale and you’ve got a proven track record to prove it.
  • You’re a consumer of media, you know what’s going on internationally and domestically, and importantly, you understand how the media agenda would impact our clients and how you should respond.

Requirements

If you worked as a Sales Consultant what would you have done last week?

  • An early riser, you’d be across the media agenda and breaking stories before you hit the office, and you’d already know which clients you need to talk to and why they should care about what you have to say.
  • You would have had your day mapped out as best you can; driven by a big focus on the current sales campaign running at the time.
  • Motivated to achieve your set tasks for the day; you would have identified opportunities for new sales, called lots of clients, collaborated with product experts on a problem you are trying to solve for a client, written proposals and negotiated and closed sales.
  • You would have presented solutions to clients via webinars and phone meetings
  • You would have been an excellent team player, doing your bit to generate the best result for our most valuable clients.
  • Salesforce would have been your primary tool, and you would have made sure your pipeline was up to date so you could track your success against your sales target.
