Social Media Manager - Content Marketing

We’re looking for the next social media gun to think big and do great work they’re proud of!


If you enjoy strategy, creative and relationship building, the door is open for anyone fitting our Social Media Manager description. Based in Melbourne, this role will see you firmly as part of the Isentia team but seconded to the office of our exciting professional services client.

Your objective will be to implement the company’s digital communications strategy and create and manage content on its digital channels. This is a great opportunity to work with our client and be part of Isentia’s content and strategy offering. 

Acting as a trusted adviser on all things social media, here is some of what you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic content ideation and planning for the existing social media communities and others as agreed
  • Native advertising implementation for the existing social media communities
  • Reporting and analysis of ongoing content and amplification plans for continued improvement and learnings
  • Key issue and crisis communications monitoring as required
  • Competitor monitoring and reporting as required
  • Proactive ideation and consultation to build and strengthen the client’s social media usage
  • Basic content creation including imagery for the existing social media communities

In essence, you will adopt a best practice approach to strategy, tactics and counsel to expand reach, drive engagement and build third-person advocacy for the client’s reputation messaging.

Here’s what we need from you:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related business field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Social Media– with specialisation in digital content and strategies. Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience with creating, pitching and implementing social media content, campaigns and/or programs.
  • Experience with Marketo and Domo (preferred but not essential)
